Now move to the 'Servers' tab and fill out fields indicated in Red.
Outgoing mail (SMTP): This setting will be the mail server that your ISP uses. In most cases it is a direct part of there website address. E.g. If you are connected through Switch Internet the setting will be mail.switch.com.au .If you are connected to the Internet through Bigpond then the setting would most likely be mail.bigpond.com . If you are connected through Ozemail then the setting would be smtp.ozemail.com.au . You may have to contact your ISP to obtain this setting by either phoning them or visiting their website.
Account Name: This will be the first part of the email address, so if your email address is sales@abcbusiness.com.au then the account name will be sales |

6. Completion & Testing |
| |
You will not need to change any settings on the 'Security' or 'Advanced' tabs unless you have special needs. So just click the 'Apply' button followed by 'OK'.
Once the screen is closed if you have further email accounts to add then go back to Step 2 and repeat the process.
Otherwise just click 'Close'
Testing: Now that account settings are entered you need to make sure you are connected to the Internet & send yourself and email. To do this just create a new email and put your email address in the 'To' box and name the subject 'Test 1'.
Once you have sent the email it will usually take 10 seconds to 2 mins for the email to be in your email box ready for collection, so just keep on hitting the 'Send / Recv' button (or F5). You should receive your test email back into your Inbox. |
